Thick Spaghetti With Italian Sausage, Peppers, & Onions

Ingredients :

  • ½ Pkg (8 oz) Best Yet™ Thick Spaghetti
  • 1 Tbsp Olive oil
  • 2 Garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Fresh oregano leaves
  • 1 Lb Italian sausage, cooked
  • 1 Red bell pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1 Green bell pepper, seeded and sliced
  • 1 White onion, sliced
  • 2 Cups Pasta sauce
  • ½ Cup Shredded Parmesan cheese, for garnish

Add garnish, if desired

Directions:

  1. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add garlic, oregano, and sausage. Cook until browned, stirring often to break up sausage. Add bell peppers and onion. Continue to cook and stir until vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in pasta sauce and cooked pasta. Reduce heat to low and stir until sauce is heated, about 2 minutes. Serve with Parmesan cheese.

 

Cook’s Tip:

Add a splash of red wine to your pasta sauce for deeper flavor.
