Cajun Lime Grilled Shrimp

Ingredients :

  • ½ pound Best Yet® raw shrimp, cleaned, peeled
  • 2 large garlic cloves
  • ¼ cup butter, melted

For the marinade:

  • 2 limes, juiced
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp basil seasoning
  • ½ tsp oregano seasoning
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Directions:

  1. Combine all marinade ingredients in a large bowl and whisk. Add shrimp, mix well and allow them to marinate for 30 minutes, refrigerated.
  2. Peel the garlic cloves, and mince it very fine. Mix in with melted butter, and set aside.
  3. Preheat grill to medium heat. 
  4. Thread shrimp on skewers* and grill for 2 minutes on each side. Remove shrimp from the grill and place them on a serving plate. 
  5. Drizzle with warm butter garlic mixture and serve immediately.

    *Note: If you use wooden skewers, soak them in water for an hour before grilling so they do not burn.
