Asian Orange Chicken & Broccoli

Try these glorious sweet, and spicy chicken bites served with broccoli and rice! It’s an ideal recipe for weeknight and limited time as it’s done in under 20 minutes. Better than takeout, and you will love these tender pieces of chicken coated in a sticky orange sauce.

Ingredients :

  • 2 large chicken breasts, chopped into small pieces
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cups (285g)  Best Yet® broccoli florets, frozen
  • 2 cups Best Yet® instant rice, cooked
    For the chicken marinade:
  • 3 Tbsp Best Yet® honey
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds
  • 4 Tbsp Best Yet® soy sauce, low sodium
  • 2 tsp Best Yet® garlic powder 
  • ½ cup  Best Yet® orange juice
  • 1 Tbsp Best Yet® corn starch
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine all ingredients for the marinade. Add chicken and marinate it for 10 minutes, refrigerated. 
  2. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat with oil, then carefully add chicken. Save the marinade for later. Sautee the chicken for 2 minutes, stirring. 
  3. Reduce the heat to medium-low, and add broccoli. Cook for 4 minutes, covered. Open the lid, add leftover sauce and cook for 1 more minute, stirring few times. Remove from the heat and cover.
  4. Prepare the instant rice, according to instructions on a package.
  5. Place 1 cup of cooked rice on each serving plate. Top with chicken broccoli mix. Drizzle with leftover sauce, and enjoy!
